About myself (Brandon Barnts):
My experience with sound for picture has included every aspect of the final sound track. I started out composing music for film and television several years ago (if you're ever flipping channels at 1 am, you may hear some of my music ;-) ) and then moved on to post production sound (sound editing / supervision) and then production sound. While I do enjoy post production, I've found that I can only work alone in a dark room for so long before I really crave a change of scenery. The constantly changing enviroments and challenges of production sound suit me very well. I love being on set to capture the original live performances and working with a crew of professionals, each masters of their own craft. My post production experience is an asset as a production mixer as it gives me full comprehension about what is really needed from the production recording. With that understanding, I do my best to make life easier in post, which saves time and money and further improves the quality of the final product.
