Here are a few links to sound related tools that may be useful to some editors and filmmakers. They range from freeware/shareware to fully developed/supported products.
BWF Manager (Mac/PC) This free Fostex utility splits polyphonic BWF files into individual mono BWF files and vice versa.
BWAV Reader (Mac/PC)
Displays BWAV metadata.
BWF2XML (Mac)
Enables import of BWF files into FCP with timecode and metadata.
TimeTools (Mac)
Translates LTC from camera audio channel into Quicktime timestamps. Allows muti-cam workflow with prosumer DV cameras.
XML Pro (Mac)
Translates FCP XML export to ProTools or Nuendo with volume levels. Fast and references original media.
Automatic Duck (Mac/PC)
Pro Export FCP: Exports from FCP to ProTools or Nuendo. Creates consolidated OMF with volume levels.
Pro Export PPro: Exports from Premiere Pro to ProTools or Nuendo. Creates consolidated OMF with volume levels.
Audacity (Mac/PC/Linux)
Freeware audio editor.
